A Little Motivation...

"Just keep swimming...just keep swimming."  Seriously at this point in the school year, I'm channeling my inner Nemo.  Most mornings I have to give myself a little pep talk as I count down the days left.  Don't get me wrong, I adore my job and my students and how lucky am I that I get to have 3 months a year off for summer vacation?  With that said...we're so close, yet still so far away!  T minus 13 days left! WOOOOHOOO!  To get me through the next thirteen days I needed a little visual motivation, so here is my first attempt at  mastering photo shop.  I created a little summer, motivational image board to help me keep my eye on the prize...SWEET SUMMER VACATION!

I have big plans for the summer and I'll highlight just a few.  1.  Bloom I stumbled upon the most beautiful blog a few months back, just in time to realize that the author was about to release her first book.  It's a memoir about the birth of her daughter Nella and her first year of life.  I'm about halfway through it, and it's the most captivating book I've ever read.  I can't wait for a couple extra minutes this summer to finish it up!  2. Most days I need an IV line of this.  Iced Chai a summer must! 3. The project of the summer, master my digital SLR.  4.  The swaggon wagon...look out Nebraska, we'll be breezing through en route to Colorado in June! Finn cannot wait for his inaugural trip to the mountains and his mama can't wait for the Boulder Farmer's Market! 5. Baby Yoga!  We'll be spending our mornings at Blooma this summer.  I sure hope Finn loves yoga as much as I do.   6. Chevron stripes, I'm not exactly sure why I've been obsessed with these lately, but I have.  I'm planning a few sewing projects for the summer, hopefully including an ottoman project and I just might find a way to include some chevron stripes.  7. Mmmmm running shoes.  Swimsuit season is only a few weeks away.  I should probably be spending more time in these.  8.  Peonies! Is there anything better to ring in the spring?  My absolute favorite flower and I have 3 bushes that are on the brink of blossoming!  9.  California. I'm heading west in June as well, not sure how I'll handle three whole days away from my little Finn and sweet husband, but at least I'll be California Dreaming for a few days and I cannot wait to meet all the new grad-school babies! 10.  I'm going to be a Hopkins Royal in September and I can't wait for the new adventure and much shorter commute! Hallelujah!

Let the countdown continue!  Only one more Monday after tomorrow...sweet sweet summer you're so close!
