Staying Warm with a Lavender Latte

Brrr!!! I"m not sure I've questioned my relocation back to Minneapolis quite as much as I have in the last couple of days.  It's been down right bitter outside.  I'm not quite sure the mercury even made it to the positive yesterday.  Luckily, we both had the day off.  Thanks MLK!  We spent the day cozied up inside with blankets, warm beverages and plenty of Parenthood re-runs!

Lucky for me, Pinterest's charm hasn't worn off and I was inspired to try this Lavender Latte.  Below is the recipe for making homemade lavender, coffee syrup. It was super easy.  Note- You'll need a funnel to add those syrups to their containers and a fine mesh strainer if you are infusing any fresh ingredients.

*I also included a few additional flavor recipes at the bottom.  Snuggle up and enjoy!
Thanks A Beautiful Mess for the inspiration!
Lavender and Brown Sugar Syrup:  Simmer 1 part brown sugar and 1 part water with 1 tablespoon of lavender buds for 20 minutes or until the sugar has dissolved completely.  Strain the buds out when you are pouring the syrup into your bottle.  It's so good!

For the vanilla syrup you need: 2 cups water, 2 cups sugar and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (the clear kind is much preferred here). In a small pot heat your water and sugar over low/medium heat, stirring constantly until the sugar has dissolved. Now stir in your vanilla extract and pour into your dispenser.

For the raspberry syrup you need: 2 cups water, 2 cups sugar and 1/2 cup fresh raspberries. In a small pot heat your water and sugar over low/medium heat, stirring constantly until the sugar has dissolved. Mash up the raspberries a little and then stir them in with the syrup, allow this to mingle for 3-5 minutes. Pour through a fine-mesh strainer to filter out any large raspberry pieces and seeds. Then pour into your dispenser.

For the caramel syrup you need: 2 cups water, 2 cups sugar and 1/2 cup caramel syrup. In a small pot heat your water and sugar over low/medium heat, stirring constantly until the sugar has dissolved. Now stir in your caramel until well combined and pour into your dispenser.
