A Little September Love: Lately

Seriously, where has the summer gone? I had such lofty aspirations of all that I was going to accomplish this summer (more blogging) being one of the goals, but we are halfway through August with back to school looming and I'm realizing I've only updated 3 times. Booo! It's a darn good thing that I like fall, praise Jesus for cooler temperatures, football games, new planners, pretty leaves and pumpkin spice lattes. I'm going to soak in the next week of Finn before I have to go back to work. I was convinced going back to work after maternity leave was the hardest thing I've ever done, but I'm pretty sure leaving my personality filled, two toothed (yep we have teeth ladies and gentleman!) wonder might just break my heart. Good thing I have some exciting new adventures on the horizon.

Here is a recap of lately (ok well maybe not lately, but all of July!) We really have had such a wonderful summer and we just wrapped up a week on Lake Vermillion for the first annual Reichow Family Vacation. I'll post more about this later.

Finn's second trip to the pool this summer, it went so much better than the first. There weren't even any tears this time and I'm thinking he was checking out the lifeguard in this pic.

Swimming with his dad and Gramps. He's turning into a little fish, he even lounged for the rest of the afternoon in a little floaty.

Stan had a nice little date with his new girlfriend Stella! Thanks for the coffee and the walk Barbara. We love you and Stella!

Just helping mom with a little pre-camping cookie fest in the kitchen. Who knew??? Tupperware and spoons are way better than toys!

Finn had a little sleepover with Grandma and Grandpa Stoks while his parents attended the 2nd annual Couples' Retreat Camping Weekend! Such fun!

USA! USA! USA! We celebrated in style with a little pre-opening ceremony Yard Game Olympics of our own and of course we had some TEAM USA themed snacks to refuel.
